How accurate is the identification?
Accuracy depends on the coin and the photograph. Rather than hide that, the app reports a confidence score on every result and names what is limiting it — lighting, wear, or thin catalogue data for that type.
Where do the values come from?
Estimates combine catalogue pricing with recent comparable sales, adjusted for the estimated condition. They are estimates, not appraisals, and the app shows a range rather than a single figure.
What happens to my photos?
Photos are used to identify the coin and to build your own collection records. They are not sold, and you can delete any scan or collection at any time.
Do I need an account?
No. CerinCoin never asks you to sign up — scanning and saving coins work straight away. Your data lives with the app on this device; deleting the app or your account removes it.
Which coins are covered?
World coins, with the deepest coverage on modern US, UK, Canadian and euro-area issues. Ancients and heavily worn pieces usually land at limited confidence.
What does Premium add?
Live sold-listing prices with grade-refined estimates, portfolio value tracking, unlimited daily scans, and an unlimited collection. Identification, catalogue details, and a basic value range stay free — with 10 scans a day and up to 20 coins.
